Stuffing ingredients
  • 1 large baguette Serves as the vessel for all the delicious fillings.
  • 1 cup shredded Cabot Monterey Jack cheese Provides a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup shredded Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar cheese Offers a tangy, sharp flavor.
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce Adds sweetness and tang to the steak mixture.
Garlic topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill. Brush both sides of the steak with vegetable oil. Combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano in a bowl, then season the steak.
  2. Grill the steak for 3-5 minutes per side until cooked to taste. Reduce grill temperature to medium and let the steak rest for 10 minutes before cubing.
Steak mixture
  1. In a bowl, add the cubed steak, shredded cheeses, and barbecue sauce, tossing to combine.
Baguette preparation
  1. Slice the baguette into 4 pieces and hollow out the centers.
  2. Combine the steak mixture into the centers of the baguette pieces, reassembling them.
Garlic topping
  1. Mix melted butter, garlic, Italian seasonings, and salt in a bowl, then brush the mixture on top of the baguette.
  2. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and wrap in foil.
Grilling
  1. Grill the wrapped baguette for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top is slightly crispy. Serve hot.

Notes

To ensure best results, choose quality steak, rest the steak before cubing, and don’t overstuff the baguette.
