Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a 4.5 quart soup pot over medium high heat.
  3. Add chicken and sear on each side for about 3 minutes until golden. Remove and set aside. Let rest for 10 minutes then dice or shred.
Cooking
  1. Melt butter in the same pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, carrots, and celery; soften for 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, basil, oregano, mustard powder, and pepper; stir.
  4. Add chicken broth, bring to a boil, then simmer.
  5. Add chicken back to the pot and simmer for 15 minutes uncovered.
  6. Add frozen vegetables, cover partially, and simmer for 10 to 15 more minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
Crock Pot Method
  1. Add all ingredients to slow cooker, including diced or uncooked chicken.
  2. Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours.
