  • 2-3 cloves garlic Mince for blending.
  • 8 oz unsalted butter At room temperature for blending.
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese At room temperature for blending.
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh parmesan Enhances umami flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Essential for balancing flavors.
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper Adds subtle kick.
  • 1 tablespoon dried fines herbes Rubbed between fingers before adding.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mince garlic by adding 2 to 3 cloves to the food processor bowl and pulse until minced.
  2. Add the butter, cream cheese, grated parmesan, salt and pepper to the food processor.
  3. Rub the dried fines herbes between your fingers and sprinkle them into the processor.
  4. Secure the lid and pulse until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired, then pulse again to combine.
  6. Transfer the Boursin to a serving bowl and serve with crostini, vegetables, or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. Letting the cheese chill enhances flavor. Avoid using cold ingredients for smoothness.
