Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe braiser over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell peppers, and sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and minced garlic, cooking for another 3 minutes, breaking the beef apart with a wooden spatula.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then add diced tomatoes and stir.
  5. Add beef broth, rice, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of cheese. Mix well.
  6. Cover with a lid or foil and bake for about 30 minutes until the rice is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  7. Remove the lid/foil, sprinkle on the remaining cheese, and broil for a couple of minutes until melted and golden brown.
  8. Let it sit for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Use high-quality beef broth for richer flavor. Let the casserole rest after baking for enhanced flavors. Substitute bell peppers with various colors for a vibrant dish.
