Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 medium Ripe bananas, mashed The riper the better
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Adds moisture
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Milk chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a standard 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the two longer sides.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and softened butter until well combined.
  4. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas and sour cream until just combined.
  6. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, stirring gently until just incorporated and smooth. Don't over mix.
  7. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in all three types of chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Top with a few additional chocolate chips if desired.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the oven and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 60-70 minutes.
  2. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Slice and enjoy!
